CALCULATION OF RECYCLING RATIO IN A DOMESTIC GAS HOBS
 
As technology and industry continue to advance, we are witnessing a growing concern over the environmental impact of our production and consumption practices. These activities have a profound effect on the global utilization of natural resources, and the amount of industrial waste being generated has reached alarming levels. One particular area of concern is the white goods sector, which experiences high production volumes. Within this sector, domestic hobs play a crucial role as widely used kitchen appliances. Gas hobs are composed of a diverse range of materials, including metal, glass, and plastic, to meet various requirements such as aesthetics, safety, cooking performance, energy efficiency, and durability. Gas hobs consist of several components that work together to provide a safe and efficient cooking experience. The burners, gas supply system, control knobs, ignition systems are critical component systems to obtain the well-designed safety features. In this study, the components of a gas hob were introduced, and all materials were separated and weighed from the outermost package to the finest wire, and their recycling potentials were examined. As a result of the study, the percentages of recyclable and non-recyclable material quantities in a gas hob were clearly presented.
