In today's world, research and development activities continue in various fields, including the home appliance industry. In recent years, these research and development activities are important not only for competition but also for the efficient use of depleting resources. Especially when we examine common household appliances such as refrigerators, ovens, stovetops, washing machines, dishwashers, and clothes dryers, it can be estimated that there is a significant resource consumption.
One of the focal points of these efforts is to make products more sustainable and reduce resource consumption. In this context, this study represents research aimed at examining points that could affect the performance of condenser dryers and working on areas that could improve the machine's performance. This research aims to investigate the effects of cooling airflow rate and temperature on condenser dryers, which are commonly used in household appliances such as washing machines and drying machines. To achieve this goal, a one-dimensional modeling approach has been adopted. Condenser dryers operate by condensing humid air to remove water vapor and perform the drying process, and the performance of these devices is significantly influenced by the airflow rate and temperature of the cooling air.
The primary objective of this study is to contribute to the design and operation improvements of condenser dryers, making them work more effectively and energy-efficiently. The research findings may contribute to sustainability efforts in the home appliance sector and enable more efficient resource utilization.
