VEGAN JEAN DESIGN

Textile products, which are less harmful to nature, living things and people, are rising to the top in the preference order of consumers with an increasing awareness level in recent years. It is seen that manufacturers also avoid chemicals, inputs that will pollute the nature or consume resources, and develop such innovative products. Developing new concept products using 'Vegan Denim' fabrics produced using mostly fruits and vegetables and seasoned with dyes obtained from organic materials, developing washing recipes with organic substances specific to these products, and creating an original and innovative concept with the cooperation between the two design centers. "Vegan Jean" design studies were carried out. This study, which has not been done in the denim and non-denim sector before, will be a project that will make a difference by evaluating the materials obtained from each recycling and showing what we can do with what nature gives us. The most important innovative aspect of the project is to create an alternative to the ever-increasing number of vegan and environmentally conscious communities in North America and Europe, while raising awareness about resource consumption and recycling. Within the scope of the project, prototypes were designed with innovative design details in Vegan denim qualities developed by our business partners, and new designs were achieved in terms of elements such as fabric finishing, product finishing and product design by washing and dry processes with new and environmentally friendly recipes that are also suitable for the concept. The main scope of the project is to develop products that are both environmentally friendly and create value in the market with new inputs in the ongoing processes of the studies, by sharing the results of the study with the vegan communities, in the light of the feedback. At the end of the project, it is aimed to create a vegan Jean collection created in 3 different collection concepts and washed with different recipes. These products will be presented to customers by being offered both in the domestic and foreign markets and will highlight Eroðlu with the feature of being the first. Returns in terms of sales are expected since Jean companies, which have been working in the field of sustainability, have a great interest in innovative products developed in this field. With the developed concept, it is aimed to raise awareness.
