In composite materials, in addition to lightness and strength, properties such as impact resistance, high temperature resistance and flame resistance are also important according to the areas in which they are used. Polymers and some additives/fillers can be used to provide these properties. In this study, a composite with high mechanical properties was produced without any additional processing by using the high temperature resistance and flame retardant properties of the resin. The DAIP resin used in the study stands out commercially with its excellent dimensional stability and resistance to high temperatures. In addition it has flame resistance feature. It is also among the flame resistant properties. This product is designed to provide high temperature resistance and flame retardant properties to the composite in applications where impact resistance is expected. The usage areas of materials with heat resistant or flame retardant properties are quite wide. Potential areas of use may be in civil life where the risk of ignition is high in environments where electronic equipment is used, or in defense applications to increase safety with its impact resistance and flame retardant properties during explosions. In this study, a very thick composite piece containing 20 layers of fiberglass was produced by vacuum bagging method, with impact resistance of 231 KJ/m2, Barcol hardness of 57, tensile strength of 342 MPa, and average thermal degradation temperature of 160°C. The results clearly show that composites with high properties can be produced as desired with a simple method.
