THE DESIGN OF A NEW GEARBOX FOR ELEVATOR WINCHS

The new gearbox is very different from the traditional, classic gearboxes. Thus, taking into account the disadvantages of the worm gear boxes, which traditionally used in elevator winches, a new four-stage, two-flow reducer assembled from bevel and spur gears was designed. As a result of such a design, the mechanism is loaded symmetrically. The bevel gear is a high speed stage, which receives the movement from the electric motor and transmits it to the spur gears. The three-speed spur gear transmission is designed in the form of a package-block. Because it is assembled on only two axles, the length dimensions of the reducer have been more than halved, and the two shaft and four rolling element bearings have been reduced. Instead, 5 bushed sliding bearings were used, and the driven gears were made in the form of a block with output shafts. Because the gears are not rigidly attached to the shafts, the shafts may not rotate. Thus, the gears, which mounted on the sliding bearings, transmit the movement and torque by meshing to each other. When rotated by any force, the rotational motion of the shafts is in the direction of the rotational motion of the gears, which does not resist their movement, but rather pushes them. For this reason, the large number of stages does not reduce the efficiency. The new design of the gearbox also includes a springs inside. It is designed to move the bevel gears in turn. This ensures reversible operation of the reducer without additional equipment.
